I am Elenor Bouchet nee Allan, born in Brampton Cumbria, raised in Jersey, Channel Islands. I love lists, details, a big fan of spreadsheets and slightly obsessed with family history research. Cross stitching and sewing is my other hobby and stitching my family trees is the perfect combo! So watch out for the odd tree stitchery!
My grandparents were my main inspiration to continue researching my ancestors. World War 2 being the pivotal historic event that framed their late teens and early twenties and made them the amazing people that I love and respect. I want to make sure that my own children remember them, the contribution and sacrifices they made to allow us to carry on the future generations of our family tree.
The most enjoyable part is matching up family stories with fact and finding little titbits that lead me to discover another three generations of one branch.
As self appointed family historian, these blogs are intended for my multitude of cousins, first cousins once removed, second cousins or any other complicated relationship we might come across! There are a lot of missing pieces of critical info in the branches but I hope that whoever stumbles upon these blogs, can help to fill in the gaps and helps with their research too.
